The Hotel General Manager will have the unique opportunity to help create an outstanding hospitality experience. For the right candidate, this position could have the added role of Regional Director of Operations (RDO). The RDO would be based out of Kinship Landing, serving as their GM while simultaneously overseeing a limited number of hotels in person and remotely.

The role of the Hotel General Manager:

Responsible for the overall performance of the hotel with the assistance of direct reports: Assistant General Manager, Chef & B, Director of Engineering, Sales Manager.

Maintains and builds a strong sense of community, integrity, and brand for all who visit and work in the hotels. Embodies outrageous hospitality.

Provides leadership to the Sales and Marketing, Engineering, and Homa Cafe & Bar teams, overseeing day-to-day operations, establishing and maintaining a positive, high-energy work environment for all employees at Kinship Landing.

Manages revenue and cash flow for the property and their impacts on the P&L statements.

Responsible for development, maintenance, and reporting for departmental and property-wide annual budget under the guidance of the Corporate Office that optimizes profit margins while balancing sales and operating costs with guest satisfaction and quality.

Accountable for the overall financial performance of the hotel; provides support to the Sales & Marketing team on implementing a sales plan based on the demand of the hotel to obtain new business.

Oversees and participates in Revenue Management for the property.

Monitors guest feedback and assists departmental leaders in resolving guest concerns and the service recovery process; successful at conflict management.

Works to recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop leadership and/or key employees.

Assists departmental leaders in conducting team meetings, influences employee engagement, and implements employee recognition.

Promotes the properties within the local community and the hotel and travel industry; excellent at networking; serves as a community ambassador.

Monitors maintenance progress and FF&E conditions; works with staff when maintenance is necessary.

Performs daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections in tandem with the maintenance and housekeeping staff.

Responds to hotel emergencies and accidents, ensuring incident reports are completed promptly and with accuracy.

Assists the Corporate Office in key property issues such as capital projects, customer service, brand growth and development, and refurbishment.

Ensures effective, timely, and accurate communications flow with regards to hotel policies and procedures.

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned by the Corporate Office.

Additionally, the Regional Director of Operations role will also:

Ensure operational and financial excellence as well as leadership to GMs of all other properties in the regional portfolio.

Act as a role model and provide guidance on company culture, by selecting, developing, managing, and leading property management team members.

Guide, develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to improve business operations.

May act as a temporary General Manager of a property in the regional portfolio if needed.

Committed to outrageous hospitality and guest service.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and experience with modern software and technology platforms and the ability to learn new ones.

Administrative wizardry and passion for organization.

Also, you must be able to:

Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.

Frequently bend and kneel to perform inspections.

Respond quickly to emergencies.

Visually inspect the interior and exterior of hotels.

Experience and Qualifications:

Previous GM experience.

7+ years hospitality experience.

5+ years of leadership and/or management experience preferred.

Sales & Marketing experience preferred.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Knowledge of Colorado Springs cultural + outdoor recreation opportunities preferred.
