We are looking for a talented and driven Software Engineering Manager to join our development organization. In this role, you will enable a team of Software Developers (10-15 direct reports) to design, develop, test, and deploy applications for our best in class Video Management Portfolio. A successful candidate will need strong technical skills, is decisive and believes in continuous delivery. Must not be afraid to experiment and adapt to meet the organization needs. We want inspiring leaders to build great teams that can build great products!Responsibilities include:Working with our development teams and stakeholders to create high quality softwareEnsure all Agile SDLC roles are owning their aspects of the product development cycle and support areas when neededApproach all aspects of engineering leadership with an eye toward continuous improvementWork closely with engineering and product leadership to ensure teams are tackling the right prioritiesAnticipate what's next and champion the balance between short and long term objectivesAgile coaching, career planning and training exploration for staffInspire and grow our engineers/scrum teams to be high performingQualifications:5+ years of technical leadership and/or engineering management experience10+ years of experience building, testing and deploying distributed applications (Mobile client applications, Windows Applications, Web Applications, Cloud Microservices and Server Applications)Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and software engineering best practices in an Agile environmentPassionate in building high performance teams that pride themselves on building high quality softwareBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experienceAbility to multi-task with a strong sense of urgencyAbility to hold teams accountableAbility to concisely illustrate concepts in words and diagramsAbility to clearly explain and justify ideas when faced with competing alternatives.Ability to research and learn new topics and become functional with them quickly.Extremely comfortable with working with remote team members.Some travel required (less than 15%)Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of continuous delivery tools and best practicesExperience with organizational change managementExperience with media delivery over IP networksExperience with distributed applications developmentExperience with mobile applications developmentExperience with microservice developmentThe base salary range for this position in Colorado and California is $160,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.Basic RequirementsBachelors Degree5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or engineering management roleLegal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
