The Field Engineering and Operations team maintain comprehensive end to end systems for outside plant fiber network design, design validation, signup eligibility, address data governance, and core address functions like search.Role Description
As a Software Engineer in the Field Engineering and Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software components that support fiber network design and supporting address systems. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of software engineering principles, practices and experiences with a variety of programming languages and software development tools.In this role, you'll:
Design, develop, and maintain software components that support the Address platform.Work with other engineers to design and implement new features and functionality.Participate in code reviews and unit testing.Troubleshoot and debug software defects.Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that software meets their needs.At a minimum we'd like you to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of software design and full stack development experience in Java/Kotlin.2 years of experience in building microservice APIs and infrastructure.It's preferred if you have:
Experience in Test Driven Development and integration testing.Experience writing robust server-side code and implementing scalable systems.Ability to debug and develop across a deep technical stack.Ability to work with cross-functional business owners.The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $133,000 - $195,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits.
