Responsibilities include:Managing a team of tax accountants in the department.Preparation direction and review of all assigned income tax accounting with a comprehensive understanding of ASC740, including maintenance of required book & tax basis balance sheets.Managing tax planning and compliance function, including the preparation of Federal and state income tax returns and partnership returns.Managing the tax budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of estimated payments.Providing support in reviewing new and existing tax laws, court cases, regulations, and rulings to ensure minimization of the Corporate tax burden.Developing and maintaining critical relationships between Tax, Controllers, Treasury, Legal, and Business Units to ensure Tax has a well-informed view of the business operations.Coordinating closely with the Tax Accounting and Reporting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision and related disclosures.Responsible for growth and development of talent, retaining and attracting talent with skills necessary to operate in new digital environments and creating an inclusive environment with continuous feedback dialogues.Telework negotiable - minimum 2 days per month in Bethesda.
