Tax Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to join our team at the corporate headquarters with a flexible hybrid work arrangement. This vital role focuses on overseeing the company's comprehensive tax processes, including quarterly and annual tax provisions, federal and state income tax returns, and more. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating with various company departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance. As a Tax Supervisor, you will continually identify improvements in tax processes and provide strategic inputs to optimize tax positions and enhance overall tax practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare ASC740 quarterly income tax provision calculations, including permanent and temporary difference tax adjustments using OneSource Tax Provision.
Maintain deferred tax asset and liability schedules and prepare tax disclosures and footnotes for Form 10-Q and 10-K reports.
Respond to external audit queries for quarterly and annual income tax provisions and prepare tax entries and quarterly tax account reconciliations.
Prepare consolidated federal and state income tax returns, including all related workpapers, and personal property and franchise tax returns.
Collaborate with accounting fixed asset personnel to update Oracle Fusion Cloud tax books on a monthly basis.
Undertake monthly sales tax determinations and calculations.
Prepare quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments.
Research and document technical federal and state tax issues in tax memos.
Maintain SOX tax controls, execute key tax controls timely, and prepare updates for key tax controls and processes documentation as needed.
Work collaboratively with accounting, FP&A, and other departments to understand business operations for accurate tax reporting.
Forecast cash taxes and tax accruals in synchronization with finance planning and analysis team.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and system improvement, presenting findings and actionable solutions.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
8+ years of corporate federal and state income tax experience in a medium-sized public company.
Strong expertise in ASC740 and proficiency with Microsoft Office, OneSource Tax Provision, and OneSource Income Tax applications.
Experienced in handling sales and use tax reporting.
Well-versed with SOX tax controls and creation of process documentation.
Proactive in identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
Detail and results oriented, capable of identifying problems and proposing effective solutions.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail and deadlines.
Meet requirements of 10 CFR 810 and 10 CFR 1017 for accessing controlled information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Taxation
Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud report inquiry and Tax Fixed Assets Module.
Experience creating workflows in Alteryx Designer.
Background in providing tax inputs for SEC filings.
Familiarity with Checkpoint Research Application.
A blend of corporate and significant public accounting experience.
Experience dealing with inventory tax issues.
Skills:
Advanced proficiency with tax software, particularly OneSource.
Expertise in Microsoft Office and Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for complex tax calculations.
Ability to effectively research and resolve tax issues and discrepancies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Adept at managing deadlines and multiple projects efficiently.
