Washington Monthly Magazine ranks FIU among the top 20 public universities contributing to the public good.Job Summary:The HRIS Business Analyst II plays a critical role in enhancing our Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to meet the needs of our organization. This role will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, writing detailed functional specifications, and ensuring that system functionalities align with user expectations. This entails applying expertise in user testing for validating system enhancements and identifying areas for improvement. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, developing and documenting functional specifications, and leading user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability and usability. This role will also provide ongoing support and training to end users and help maximize the value of HRIS tools. This role manages multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Collaborates closely with users to gather detailed requirements and document functional specifications, translating business needs into clear technical documentation for system improvements.Analyzes, designs, and creates detailed specifications for PeopleSoft application functionalities, ensuring documentation is clear and accessible for future updates.Coordinates and supports user acceptance testing (UAT) for HRIS updates and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements and user expectations.Develops comprehensive test plans and scenarios for UAT, ensuring thorough testing of system functionalities prior to implementation.Assists in the creation and maintenance of training materials and user guides, facilitating support for end users within the Division of Human Resources.Troubleshoots issues related to existing and new system functionalities, working with relevant teams to document resolutions and enhance support processes.Reviews and resolves concerns regarding software functionality, providing in-depth analysis and documentation of complex system issues for future reference.Maintains security and confidentiality of documentation and user data in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Provides production support including problem analysis and resolution, maintaining clear documentation of issues and solutions for future reference.Engages with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, developers, and business users, to coordinate and document solutions for system-related problems.Creates SQL queries for end users as needed.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field and two (2) years of experience in HRIS or related field.Desired Qualifications:

At least one year of designing, developing, and reporting experience with ERP HR systems (e.g. Peoplesoft, Workday, SAP).Job Category:
