We’d love to connect with you!Director of Health & Safety ResponsibilitiesStrategyDevelops and implements a comprehensive safety program that aligns with the company’s objectives and regulatory requirementsPromotes and improves behavior-based safety initiativesOversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our company Health and Safety Plan (HASP), ensuring it fully addresses the diverse range of tasks and work environments encountered by our employeesConducts Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and develops site-specific and client compliant HASPs (when required) for our employees working at client facilitiesReports to senior leadership, board of directors, and key stakeholders on safety performance, compliance, and areas for improvementLeadershipChampions and serves as subject matter expert for corporate Health & Safety; mentors managers and staff; cultivates “health and safety first” mindset and reinforces safety complianceDevelops and/or implements safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company goalsOversees safety training programs for the company; partners with other leaders to ensure adherence to standards and requirementsMonitors and analyzes safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvementManages our membership in contractor safety management programs such as ISNetworld and NCMSWorks closely with operations, human resources, and executives to ensure safety is integrated into all business functionsHands-on ExecutionVisits project sites, develops and trains employees on work-specific safety protocols, and monitors for complianceManages safety incidents and conducts investigations; ensures accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measuresLeads safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risksInterfaces with federal, state, and local regulators for safety-related audits and reviewsEnsures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory reportingDirector of Health & Safety QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, or related fieldOverall 10+ years relevant Health & Safety experience as primary role5+ years managing/leading Health & Safety programs for work in Oil & Gas5+ years developing and implementing H&S programs including confined space entry, lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazard communication (HAZCOM), emergency action and fire prevention, heat stress prevention, and others5+ years developing and delivering safety training3+ years hands-on experience with contractor management platforms such as ISNetworld and ICMSStrong working knowledge of Federal OSHA regulationsCurrent Texas residencyAbility to travel 25-50% of the time (within the US), sometimes on short noticeAbility to don PPE as required, including respiratorValid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle recordAbility to pass background screeningPreferredActive Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification or similar
