Director of Bond ManagementDFM Development Services has a need to hire an internal Bond Release Project Manager to assist with various tasks within our unique multi-disciplined consulting operation that supports our real estate developer clients throughout the Metro DC Region. These divisions that require support include Bond Release, Dry Utility Design and Coordination, and Stormwater Management Compliance.We currently have an established Bond Release team that is in growth mode. Even with our experienced Bond Managers, we need an additional team member to support the production volume. The ideal candidate will have working experience in bond release, bond management, and/or land development, and can interact and communicate with various groups and individuals such as Development Services Manager and staff, City Manager, Department Director, civil engineers, contractors, and the general public.Responsibilities:Researching the bonds & agreements on file with the jurisdictions.Compiling the paperwork required from engineers, utility companies, and developers for the jurisdiction and state bond release checklists.Meetings with the jurisdiction inspectors to review the paperwork and site conditions.Coordination with contractors to address deficiencies noted for the project.Walk job sites to verify and document conditions, improvements, and repairs made.Facilitate progress on a daily basis towards achieving bond release by developing strong relationships with jurisdiction representatives.Work with internal Director to obtain answers to client questions in a timely manner.Prepare bond extension and reduction paperwork.Follow up with project consultants and contractors as needed to track down bond release related paperwork.Qualifications:Associate degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field3 years of experience in construction engineering, construction management, or a closely related fieldAn equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be consideredCompensation:Competitive SalaryYearly BonusHealth, Vision and Dental InsurancePTO and Paid Holidays401K w/ Company MatchCell phone, computer, and mileage reimbursement for business-related travelApply for this job
