This position for Broadridge works on Patented Technology within our Applications Development team. We develop custom solutions for On-Boarding new Clients on our print and digital platforms. This is a challenging position in which various data formats from clients are managed real time for loading onto the automated platforms. The Print and Digital platforms process data to the tune of multiple GigaBytes within a matter of minutes. Our Clients span multiple verticals like Healthcare, Financials, etc.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities
Developing, testing, debugging and implementing code for existing and/or new business applications and/or computer systems. Designs, develops, modifies, adapts and implements short- and long-term solutions to technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure. Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements software solutions. Provides application software development services typically in a defined project. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented. May test new software code and typically works in a highly efficient ('Agile') development environment. Applies a theoretical knowledge-base to work to achieve goals through own work. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Qualifications
Holds a minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree. 7+ years of experience in software development. Experience with object-oriented concepts and exposure to Java programming language. Experience with Java and Perl. Working understanding of software test automation (Unit Testing Frameworks). Proven experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles like CI/CD with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, etc. Proven experience with AWS cloud. Strong communication skills. Experience working in a team-oriented group. Knowledge of Linux. Knowledge of AFP (other PDLs like PDF, Postscript, and Metacode would be a plus). Proven knowledge of web-based programming environments and frameworks is a plus. Experience with developing procedural and code documentation on assigned projects. Proven knowledge or experience in software implementation lifecycle. Self-starter, motivated, with a strong preference to work in a team environment. Experience with Spring Frameworks is a plus. Experience with Compart is a plus. Experience with OpenText Exstream is a plus. Experience with web services is a plus. Thorough knowledge of the SDLC; Agile/Scrum and Waterfall. Salary range $130,000.00 - $145,000.00. Bonus Eligible.
