RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENRICHMENT:

Develops and directs high quality family member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association goals, and strategies.

Coordinates and leads family member engagement programs, including but not limited to: Kids Club, Parent’s Night Out, Esports, Ninja Gym, Rockwall, transportation and family engagement classes.

Recruits, hires, trains, develops, and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.

Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to ensure balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.

Direct leadership of branch part-time employees.

Establishes plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives and the leadership team.

Provides staff support for assigned committees.

Ability and willingness to provide programs on weeknights and weekends.

Serves as a participating member in cabinet meetings.

Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.

Must complete YMCA bus driver training and certification. Attend required abuse risk management training.

Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.

Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.

Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF FAMILY ENRICHMENT:

Minimum age of 21.

Minimum of two years in family engagement services, membership services, marketing, sales, and/or customer services.

Working knowledge of computers and office machines.

Ability to communicate effectively in person, on telephone, and through email.

Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including members, peers/co-workers, supervisors, and volunteers.

Ability to learn and retain information related to programs, services, and membership options.

Ability to handle conflict management in a positive manner.

Ability to coordinate and plan events and activities.

Ability to lead staff team.
