The base pay actually offered may vary based upon candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.Job Description :TDS Treasury is part of Global Markets in TD Securities, and manages the dealer's liquidity, funding and non-trading market risk. Within the group, US TDS Treasury team is responsible for funding and liquidity activities and Asset and Liability management of TDS' US region entities.TDS Treasury is looking for an individual with strong analytical and communication skills, a deep understanding of capital markets products, and knowledge of internal and external liquidity policies. This position will report to the TDS US Treasurer.The VP, TDS US Treasury Will Be Accountable For :Understanding business activity impact on regulatory and internal liquidity metrics. Advising business partners on liquidity targets and limits, as well as liquidity actions.Identifying gaps between liquidity reporting and regulatory requirements/approved internal liquidity assumptions. Working with US Treasury Liquidity team to improve quality of reporting.Understanding TDS' trading strategies and funding products, and identifying opportunities to structure trades or funding flows to improve liquidity positions. Liaising between Front Office, Finance, US Treasury team on liquidity optimization.Developing and building liquidity management tools to manage daily LCR, NSFR and cashflow forecasting.Supporting TDS US Treasurer in developing TDS US region funding strategy, annual funding plan, and contingency funding plan.Assessing new products and business requests in context of US liquidity and funding implications. Working closely with TDS Treasury Liquidity Strategy team and US Treasury Liquidity team.Preparing materials for committee meetings and regulatory requests.Depth & Scope :Position liaises closely with the Banks other operations in Canada, Europe and the U.S. to assist in meeting the Banks objectivesDevelops an institutional investor base in the U.S. to fund the Bank and to place U.S. and Canadian money market positionsStrict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firm's proceduresUnderstands and complies with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirementsEnsures that transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and in a timely mannerCommunicates bank policy information and strategy between the product head and relevant trading personnelFully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound trading decisionsDevelops and maintains contactsResponsible for executing the ongoing trading exception report reviews for Money Markets Sales NYUnderstands the approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews SBRs), applicable to the business, and ensures that all of your business dealings are in alignment with these strategiesFollows Credit Risk Policies and procedures, as they apply to the business and is responsible for being aware of and understanding such policies and procedures and ensuring that applicable sales and trading activity is in line with those policiesDemonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.Education & Experience :Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.Series 7 and 635-7 Years of related experienceMust be detail oriented and possess problem-solving skillsMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision and establish prioritiesProficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written), and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.Preferred Qualifications :Experience with liquidity regulations. Ability to interpret rules and apply in wholesale.Deep understanding of the capital markets industry including products and services.Technical background in regulatory frameworks (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with Front Office, Finance and Risk Management to enhance capabilities.
