WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Director of Leisure Sales is responsible for leading the sales team and driving business for the hotel and convention center for Dreamscape’s Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This role works closely with the executive leaders in sales to ensure guest satisfaction and create memorable experiences for all guest market segments.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Create selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue and leverage historical, current and future hotel/market trends.

Communicate with vendors and customers professionally and timely to ensure all needs are met and anticipatory service is given.

Support and drive the revenue of the hotel through vendors and customers.

Research and modify existing contracts as needed based on hotel and/or market conditions.

Set and meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota for self and team.

Analyze inventory levels, forecast staffing needs and align room promotions with events occurring in the casino, restaurants and convention space.

Attract, identify and foster relationships with customers to provide new and repeat business for the property.

Provide services and venue options that are competitive and noteworthy in the market.

Consistently use key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), occupancy rates, and market share to identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize revenue generation.

Provide employee growth opportunities and foster a high-performance culture within team.

Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position oversees the Hotel Sales Leisure team.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum four (4) years' experience in sales, revenue management and/or hotel operations.

Minimum two (2) years of progressive leadership experience.

Strong organizational skills, solution-driven, and analytical thinker.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Strong Computer proficiency; ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and applicable operational software.

Bachelor’s Degree (required).

At least 21 years of age.

PREFERRED

Master’s degree hospitality management.

Proficient in using Workday, Opera, and other similar software.

Three (3) years experience of leading large teams.

Experience working in a similar resort setting.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.

Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
