We are currently seeking to hire an Industrial Fabrication and Machining Planner/Estimator:Estimate and develop manufacturing plans based on customer drawings, specifications & requirementsRead and interpret customer drawings and specificationsWork with production to develop best manufacturing plans and processesResponsible for requisitioning some materials and services needed in the timeframe required for the project/jobAct as liaison between the customer and our production team as neededWork with the customer on any changes in the scope of the order that may arise, including evaluating, estimating, quoting, and planning order changesParticipate in customer conference calls and face to face meetings as neededParticipate in weekly production meetingsAbout UsCustom Engineering is a heavy fabrication, welding, and machine shop conveniently located less than a mile off the Bayfront Parkway on McClelland Ave. Our ability to complete complex jobs both long-run and short-run, top-of-the-line machinery, and outstanding quality allow us to serve many industries including oil & gas, construction, mining, transportation, power generation, and entertainment.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent manufacturing experienceAbility to read engineering drawings and technical specificationsStrong time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong self-motivation to be able to work with little supervisionAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environmentPlanning/estimating experience in a fabrication and/or machining environment preferred or similar technical experience will be acceptedKnowledge of Google, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and other computer applicationsWe will train the right candidate!!
Compensation details:
60000-75000 Yearly Salary
