We’re looking for talented developers to join a small team of highly skilled engineers to realize that mission by expanding the capabilities of Apple platforms and products.DescriptionThis position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical skills who is an excellent collaborator to handle responsibilities including:Developing daemons and frameworks to both manage an AI powered system and enable communication between it's nodesPrototyping ideas to further determinism in process execution and output, including the faithful reproduction and analysis of end-user scenariosDeveloping software components that are adaptive to changes in overall system healthSharing concepts and objectives with cross functional teams, collecting and anticipating project needsParticipating in architecture and code reviewsLeading and mentoring other engineersMinimum QualificationsProficient in Swift, C++ or ObjCAttention to detail, creativity and passionAbility to deconstruct large features and implement practical solutions with good intuition in making time vs. complexity tradeoffsTrack record of working cross-functionally to build strong partnerships amongst teams and individualsStrong grasp of Apple development toolsStrong object-oriented programming and design skillsProven software architecture experienceWell versed in OS fundamentals such as memory management, scheduling, synchronization, syscalls, IPC, etc.BS Computer Science or related technical field and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experiencePreferred Qualifications

Solid understanding of the development and debugging of multi-threaded software and networkingSystem and network troubleshooting, profiling and debugging skillsExperience building efficient systems softwareExperience in developing and maintaining APIs and frameworks for multiple clientsExperience working within large scale codebasesExperience debugging and troubleshooting device hardware/software failuresAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
