Senior DFX Architect
NVIDIA, Santa Clara, California, us, 95053
NVIDIA is developing processor and system architectures that are at the forefront of accelerating machine learning, automotive and high-performance computing platforms. Our work opens up new universes to explore, enables outstanding creativity and discovery and powers what were once science fiction inventions from artificial intelligence to autonomous cars. We are building the most sophisticated SOCs in the world for these applications and are looking for DFX architects to join our growing team of experts. As the DFX architect for NVIDIA's family of products, you will participate to drive major aspects of DFX architecture and methodology that will enable NVIDIA GPUs, custom processors and accelerators to excel in quality and meet safety diagnostic requirement for various different applications. What You'll Be Doing:You will have the chance to define, prototype and deploy next generation DFX architectures and methodologies across all our products. This includes high speed test access architectures, the in-system-test architecture, ISO26262 functional safety diagnostic for in-field testing and beyond, silicon debug & bring-up, productization, and silicon life-cycle management among others. As a member on our DFX Architecture team, your responsibility will be to craft key DFX architecture and methodologies to meet system level safety diagnostic test quality, in-field test quality, advanced defect screening and diagnosis to enable SLM for automotive, industrial, and robotics safety platforms.Collaborate with multi-functional teams like system architecture, chip architecture, ASIC design, verification, CAD, VLSI, SW development, and Operations teams to productize new methodologies.Help the team with delivering efficient workflows and tools to help productize these features on industry's leading processors for deep learning, gaming, HPC and supercomputing. What We Need To See:BSEE (or equivalent experience) with 8+, MSEE with 6+ or PhD with 4+ years of experience in DFX architectures, system architectures, test quality improvement and/or ASIC design.Knowledge of high speed interface architectures such as PCIe, USB3, DDR, UFS, NVME etc. is helpful and understanding of system level interactions of these interfaces is a plus.Understanding of the fundamentals of safety & security concept, RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) requirements for safety platforms (preferred).Good exposure in multi-functional areas including RTL, DFT, clocks, performance and power.Excellent analytical skills in verification and validation of logic on complex and multi-million gate designs using vendor tools.Experience in silicon debug and bring up on ATE or SLT platforms.Strong programming and scripting skills in Perl, Python or TCL desired.Outstanding written and oral interpersonal skills with the curiosity to work on unique challenges.Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields or equivalent experience. MS preferred.NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
