POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss’ Senior Manager, Events will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of Moss’ event portfolio (includes community outreach and sponsorships), ensuring that each event aligns with our brand standards and contributes measurable impact. This role is essential for driving operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, efficient resource allocation, and proactive team management. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in managing large-scale events, leveraging data for impactful reporting, and mentoring a high-performing team. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with Moss’ business objectives, enhancing brand presence, customer engagement, and employee experience.

Create a data-informed planning process, defining clear KPIs, milestones, and success metrics for each event, ensuring measurable impact and informed decision-making.

Lead event experience, integrating market trends and audience insights to design meaningful, engaging, and purposeful moments.

Lead procurement/delivery of swag and branded merchandise related to events in collaboration with the brand team.

Preserve and promote the Moss culture.

Data Management & Resource Planning

Establish and maintain data tracking systems to measure and analyze event success, including attendee feedback, engagement levels, ROI, and overall event impact.

Use analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, optimize future events, and make informed recommendations to senior management.

Develop reports and presentations summarizing event performance for leadership, illustrating insights and actionable outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

Manage a team of event professionals, ensuring alignment with Moss’ high standards of quality, productivity, and professionalism.

Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that values skill development and continuous learning.

Oversee team allocation, ensuring each event is appropriately staffed and resourced to deliver a successful experience within budget and timeline constraints.

Budgeting & Resource Allocation

Manage and track event budgets, ensuring all costs align with departmental goals and financial parameters.

Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline resource allocation.

Lead negotiations with vendors, securing partnerships that align with Moss’ standards and ensuring seamless event delivery.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment with event goals and expectations.

Collaborate closely with the marketing, communications, and business development teams to create cohesive, impactful messaging that reinforces Moss’ brand.

Facilitate post-event debriefs, gathering input from stakeholders to continuously refine and enhance the event strategy.

Focus on collaborating with leadership to reinforce Moss culture messaging.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in event management with a focus on data analytics, budgeting, and impact measurement.

Experience in contract negotiations and budget management.

Demonstrated expertise in managing large, high-profile events with proven success in resource planning and team supervision.

Proficiency in event management software and data analytics tools; advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and team efficiencies.

Willingness to travel for events as needed.
