Supervisor to oversee a Team in Underwriting in our Parsippany, New Jersey office. If you are focused on technology, are attentive to detail, and provide solid customer service, then our team might be right for you!Our Small Business Underwriting environment is fast paced, service oriented, and production driven. Underwriting Analysts are responsible for the verification of insured's operations and determining the acceptability of submissions from our agency partners, as well as maintaining service levels and providing superior customer service.Responsibilities
The Small Business Unit Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of a Team, which includes, but is not limited to:Supervision and oversight of staff to include production, quality, and training for both new and existing staffProvides regular coaching and constructive feedback to staffManagement of workflow and Service LevelsMonitoring of daily production within the unitRegular communication with agentsResponding to any escalated calls and/or e-mailsQualifications
Leadership abilityProblem solving/analysisExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsProficient use of a computerAttention to detail and accuracyBachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferredPrior supervisory experience is preferred, but will consider a combination of insurance experience and prior work history in lieu of supervisory experienceMust be able to work out of the field office in Parsippany, NJ with occasional travel to the Home Office in Wilkes Barre, PA
