Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to assist in the management of the worldwide Accounting organization and spearhead our technical accounting efforts. The individual will be responsible for researching, interpreting and applying technical and complex accounting standards, accounting for acquisitions and specific business transactions on a worldwide basis. The individual will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of external audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and assist in all technical accounting and auditing matters. Candidate should be an active CPA / CA and have strong technical abilities, with the ability to manage deadlines and external advisors. Ideally an individual will have experience in IFRS or other regulatory frameworks and is seeking a high paced and dynamic environment with a top 5 and growing global commodity house.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of the preparation of the Consolidated Financial statements and reporting to external and internal parties under IFRSDevelop and maintain a database to track external reporting to banks and counterparties.Assist in the preparation of the annual and quarterly reporting on global basis.Assist in the management of the preparation of the individual company statutory financial statements and reporting under local (i.e. UK or Swiss) GAAPDevelop, implement, upgrade and maintain appropriate internal financial systems, controls and safeguards, and provide training to functional departments on internal control activities to ensure a strong internal control environmentAssist in managing internal / external auditsResponsible for all technical accounting matters. Research, analyze, and prepare clear and concise communications of such matters under IFRS; work with local accounting managers in international and regional offices to ensure all reporting is timely, accurate and in compliance with IFRS.Evaluate specific business transactions for proper accounting treatment.Develop accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance on a global basis.Coordinate with the VP of Tax on tax/accounting compliance matters and work closely with the internal Legal Department as well as other functional areas.Special projects and other administrative functions as requiredRequirement:6-10 years public accounting experience preferably Big 4Strong knowledge of IFRSStrong technical research skills and the ability to summarize and communicate research results effectively in written formActive CPA / CADynamic personality who is willing to grow at the same pace as the organizationExperience managing people /staff / advisors
