A services company located in Westchester County is actively seeking a diligent and organized professional to join their staff as their new Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
The Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager will:Support preparation of financial statement reports, statutory financial statements, and other necessary reports, including: quarterly & annual reports; other earnings release materials; monthly cash flow statements; and, international statutory financial statementsPrepare and coordinate the company's footnote support for the company's financial statementsReview and explain balance sheet and income statement fluctuationsProvide assistance to the external auditorsSupport and research U.S. GAAP and IFRS technical accounting guidanceBenchmark and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, etc. regulatory reporting requirementsManage lease software system by maintaining up-to-date lease information and accounting for the active leasesPrepare or review monthly general ledger reconciliations for leases, debt and equityPrepare and file monthly and quarterly Department of Transportation reportsParticipate in the development and interpretation of company accounting policies and procedures.Qualifications :
5+ years of Accounting and/or Finance Reporting experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related fieldPublic Accounting backgroundExceptional technical accounting base and analytical abilityStrong computer skills in general and specifically with Microsoft Excel and WordDesired Skills:
CPA or parts passed
