Responsible for extracting data insights from the customer bill journey through payment, payment plans and/or write-off for all operating companies. Utilizes data analytics and collaborates with operational functions to assess areas of opportunity and propose process changes that will reduce the risk of write-offs and aged Accounts Receivable. Provides data analysis for regulatory filings and/or responses, projects for system enhancements, and collaborates with accounting to provide monthly or annual metrics and analyses to assist with budget planning.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.Essential Functions:Develops complex SQL queries for operational analysis.Continuously develops and maintains data management tools and analytical database (i.e., tables, data dictionary, analysis documentation).Utilizes Power BI to enhance data-driven decision making and implement automation of recurring reports.Monitors and reports on performance, analyzes data, and recommends improvements to ensure high quality of service to Eversource customers.Interacts with various Customer Operations groups to gather clear analytic requirements.Prepares data, presentations, reports, or information as needed to assist business improvement initiatives or decision making.Reviews policies, procedures, and regulatory filings and recommends changes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.Creates forecasts to assist with Credit and Collections planning disconnect notices, field orders, and costs.Qualifications:Technical Knowledge/Skill:Ability to design, build, analyze, and interpret data models.Power BI experience is required.Expert level SQL skills required; ability to use and successfully manipulate a large, complex database.Analytical skills: ability to translate analytical results into recommended business action.Statistical modeling experience is a plus.Education:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business-related field, or equivalent experience.Experience:Five (5) plus years of related experience in data analysis along with the use of a variety of skills, including statistical analysis, database design, and communication.Compensation and Benefits:Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.
