Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer would assist and support with the development, configuration, testing, and evaluation of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solutions used to secure government customers' classified data and networks. The Engineer will work individually and as a member of a team to configure network, software, and hardware networking components and security appliances and applications to meet DoD requirements and support their installation and initialization onsite in the customers' environments.This is a full-time on-site position (not a remote role).Writes standardized system documentation, including configuration guides, test procedures, test results, and training materialsCollaborates with other operations departments to design approved infrastructureServes as the escalation contact during large outages for Tier 2 and 3 systemsAuthors network Engineering Design Packages including detailed implementation project plans and proceduresConfigures network, software, and hardware components to meet NSA CSfC, NIAP, and DoD requirementsPerforms network design and systems integrationDesigns, develops, implements, tests, and maintains complex secure communications networks.Configures Certificate Authority Systems (ISC CertAgent/MS Windows Server/Red Hat Certificate systems)Configures firewalls, Intrusion Prevention/Detection systems, vpn gateways, wireless controllers from various vendors (e.g., Aruba, Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWALL, Juniper)Documents configuration, test procedure, results, and training materialsPrepares test reports and configuration documentation according to customer standardsProvides customer on-site solution installation and integrationManages contractors and vendors during the implementation phaseProvides tier 2 and 3 support as part of a technical teamIdentifies and recommend hardware and support solutions based on research and analysis of new technologies, interfacing with customers and vendorsProvides technical expertise to sales engineering teams during complex network developments.Serves as Systems Integrator for the various contracts within the DoDEnhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the companyPerforms other tasks as required by OSC Edge and the Government contracting teamAbility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearanceMinimum of five (5) years relevant experience working with network security platforms in a service provider environmentSecurity+ CertificationProfessional level certifications in either Cisco, Red Hat, Aruba, Palo AltoExpert in configuring network components, including routers and switchesExpert in configuring security devices and appliances, security information, and event management softwarePossess the flexibility to work in both a team environment as well as independentlyAbility to communicate with technical and business staff alikeKnowledge of commonly used ports and protocolsProficient in developing technical documentationAbility to review and develop configuration guides and other customer training deliverables.Preferred
