Property Accounting Manager- Hybrid
Location:
Dallas, TX – 2 days on site a week
Compensation:
$115K + Bonus + Equity

The Property Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of property accounting, including managing general ledger functions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong leadership skills and a background in real estate accounting are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all property accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting for multiple properties.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements specific to the real estate industry.
Manage audit processes and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
Prepare and analyze property budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable related to property operations.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including variance analysis and profitability assessments.
Implement and maintain internal controls to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
Lead and mentor the property accounting team, promoting professional development and team collaboration.
Prerequisites:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on property or real estate accounting.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in the real estate sector.
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [insert software, e.g., Yardi, MRI] preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
