Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in Selenium automation and API testing. As an SDET, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through robust automation frameworks and effective testing practices. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web application testing. 2. Design, implement, and execute test cases for API testing using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI or similar frameworks. 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements, identify test scenarios, and validate functionality. 4. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and debugging of test failures, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. 5. Continuously enhance and optimize the automation frameworks to improve test efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. 6. Perform regression testing, sanity checks, and smoke tests to ensure software stability and compatibility across different environments. 7. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. 8. Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to establish and maintain quality standards and best practices. 9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to software testing and automation. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2. Proven experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer with a focus on Selenium WebDriver and API testing. 3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. 4. In-depth knowledge of test automation frameworks like TestNG or JUnit. 5. Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks. 6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CICD pipelines. 7. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. 8. Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and design effective test cases. 9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 10. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team. Preferred qualifications: 1. Experience with other automation frameworks like Cucumber or Robot Framework. 2. Familiarity with databases and SQL queries for backend testing. 3. Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
