Description
What would a typical day be like?Collaborating within Enterprise Applications to triage support inquiries, develop next steps, and assist the broader Information Technology Team in maintaining exceptional customer service standards.Developing web applications via Blazer/ASP.Net and SQL Server.Working along other members of Enterprise Applications, contributing to the creation of innovative software, tools, and system integrations to devise solutions that benefit the entire Convergix Organization.Writing SQL based queries, views, and procedures on our Data Warehouse infrastructure to further enable the organization's accessibility to data.Enthusiastic in learning other technologies outside software development (ERP systems, Power Bi, SQL etc.).What qualifies you for this opportunity?Obtained or actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar program having accumulated ~80+ credits.Contribute to software development team(s) for one or multiple software applications or initiatives.Build software applications and features in an Agile environment by following our software development lifecycle (SDLC) process.Develop applications in a hybrid and cloud native setting utilizing development skills that include object-oriented programming (C#), databases (SQL), Entity Framework Core (EF), and web applications (Blazer/ASP.Net).Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and support of applications.Collaborate with team members regarding projects, development, tools, and training.Support high level end-user support including feature training and troubleshooting for applications.Contribute to the software validation process through development, review, and/or execution of test plan/cases/scripts.Learn patterns, approaches, and business practices across multiple development teams.Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; Co-Op Application Developer and Support at CGX ON/ARK should have the ability to travel within the US and Canada.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Occasionally lifts or moves up to 25 pounds.What does CONVERGIX Offer You?Clear paths for career advancement and opportunities for professional development.Hands-on experience with the latest automation technologies and tools.The chance to be part of a globally recognized workplace that consistently develops cutting-edge solutions that set industry standards.A diverse and inclusive atmosphere that provides support for employees from all walks of life.ABOUT CONVERGIX AUTOMATION SOLUTIONSConvergix Automation Solutions is a Global Systems Integrator specializing in custom automated manufacturing systems including robotics, controls, material handling, information and software systems, and process automation in a variety of manufacturing industries.
