General Summary:Great River Energy is looking to fill a Data Analytics contractor position with responsibilities for providing data science expertise and support to business needs involving electric transmission substation assets. This opportunity resides on the Field Services team located at our Elk River facility and may require some work occasionally on-site at other facilities. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Involves collaboration with data science professionals throughout the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with diverse stakeholder audiences to develop analytic models, forecasts, and visualizations involving major electrical transmission system asset utilization, performance, condition, and optimization (data may reside across the asset, supply-chain, and work management process streams)Data trending of substation equipmentProvide technical skills, electrical knowledge, and research support towards efforts to update major system asset replacement rankings using established methodologiesSpecific work duties may evolve or expand based on experience gained and business requirements driven by regulatory changes and expanding opportunitiesDuties will involve working extensively with, but not exclusively:Engineering design documentationSystem planning dataMultiple enterprise software systems and related databases (e.g., ERP, Asset, Work, and Materials management, project scheduling, SCADA, energy management, etc.)Asset condition and inspection dataMicrosoft ecosystem application and tools (e.g., Access, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, etc.)ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS)Skills:

Knowledge of common electrical units of measure is essential. Very strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
