Be part of a trading systems engineering team, dedicated to building out the core trading platforms.Work closely with cross functional teams to improve the system reliability, scalability and security.Engage in and improve the infrastructure quality supporting the platform.Build and manage systems, infrastructure and applications through automation.Provide operational support to internal teams working on the platform.Work on improvements to bring in high efficiency, reduce latency, deploy systems faster.Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.Together with your engineering team, you will share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents.Implement and maintain rigorous security best practices across all infrastructure, with a focus on minimizing attack surface and ensuring data integrity.Monitor system health and performance with a keen eye for identifying and resolving issues before they affect trading activity.Minimum Qualification
Bachelors with 5+ years of working experience as Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) / Devops Engineer.Proven expertise in optimizing low latency performance and productionizing trading systems from initial concept to full deployment, including on-prem and colocation.Proficient in utilizing C++ build systems such as CMake and building CI/CD pipelines for trading systems.Experience in building out trading systems infrastructure and familiar with multicast message bus such as Aeron messaging frameworks.Expertise in establishing best practices for trading systems deployment.Proficient in designing infrastructure and network solutions for trading systems.Experience with programming in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.Knowledge of Linux internals and bash scripting.Strong skills around observability, debugging and performance tuning, willing to dive into understanding, debugging, and improving any layer of the stack.Strong experience in managing infrastructure with providers like AWS.Strong experience in Cloud Native technologies in kubernetes, docker etc.Basic knowledge of RDBMS systems like mysql.Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.Preferred Qualification
Expertise in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Atlantis.Expertise in devops tooling like Jenkins, ArgoCD, Github Actions.Expertise in advanced observability (USE-RED signals, Tracing, front end observability etc) and monitoring stacks, preferably Grafana stack.Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.Extensive experience in supporting production systems as SRE.Experience in setting up monitoring stack for process and docker based environments.Bonus Points
Experience with hardware acceleration technologies (FPGAs, GPUs).Experience with financial data security regulations (PCI DSS, SOC 2).Familiarity with algorithmic trading strategies and quantitative analysis concepts.Base pay for this role is expected to be between $171,000 and $246,000 USD. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
