SummaryResponsible for owning and controlling the direction of various components of MiTek's eSeal System. Works directly with various Software Product Managers on short and long-term planning on both existing and new software solutions. Responsible for writing operational requirements for software solutions including design, documentation, and verification of features and functionality. Provides technical support assistance and training for support of new features and functionality. Works directly with customers to determine market needs, run customer research efforts, and to determine competitive environment needs. This individual is an active and critical member of an Agile Development Scrum team within the software development process and is a key part of the decision-making group to assess risk of various projects alongside Project Managers, Software Developers, QA Managers, and other stakeholders such as the Product Portfolio Managers.
Job Responsibilities & RequirementsRESPONSIBILITIES:Delivers successful outcomes for software projects across the software development lifecycle.Leads and owns a Software Product and/or Software Projects within MiTek’s Software Portfolio offerings.Oversees and owns backlog maintenance of product and/or projects.Oversees and develops User Stories/Requirements for Project and Product needs.Owns and creates vision planning for Projects and/or subset of Product.Owns specific area of logic in a complex product/project or oversees the entirety of ownership over a smaller product/project.Cultivates relationships and engagements with customers and internal stakeholders to inform the prioritization and execution of specific software solutions.Communicates relevant product updates, progress, and plans to internal teams, stakeholders, and customers.Works closely with software engineering teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and scalability.Recommends improvements to processes and procedures that deliver improvements to the business both internally and externally.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, engineering science, aerospace, or equivalent) preferred.3+ years of experience in product management, preferably working with software products, or equivalent related experience.Excellent planning, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to bring clarity and order to competing priorities and unclear customer needs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Passion for learning new technologies and brainstorming ideas with a wide range of stakeholders and customers.Ability to foster new and existing relationships with a variety of personality types.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience working in an Agile software development environment using Scrum is preferred.Experience working in a software development environment preferred.Experience working in the homebuilding industry highly desired.Familiarity with software development environments like C# or Visual Basic .NET is beneficial but not required.MiTek Perks:Flexible Paid Time Off - take as much time off as you need!All Benefits begin on Day 1!Profit Sharing Plan and Annual Incentive Plan.13 Paid Holidays.401k Plan with Matching Contributions.A variety of Medical, Dental and Vision Plans to choose from.Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance.Tuition Reimbursement.Paid Parental Leave.Career advancement and training opportunities!In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay For Equal Work Act, the pay range for this position is estimated at $90k-$110k/year.
