Human Resources Manager
to join their team in Glenview, IL. You will operate as a sole HR Practitioner responsible for overseeing all HR functions within the organization. You will play a crucial role in managing payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee relations, and compliance while ensuring a safe and engaging work environment. Process weekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle payroll for both union and non-union employees.Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Benefits Administration : Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance brokers. Manage open enrollment and ongoing benefits inquiries. Oversee benefit plans and ensure effective communication of offerings.Full-Cycle Recruiting : Manage the entire recruiting process, from job posting to candidate selection. Conduct interviews and assist hiring managers in making informed hiring decisions.On-boarding/Off-boarding : Facilitate the on-boarding process for new hires and ensure a smooth off-boarding process for departing employees. Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and improve employee retention.Employee Relations and Conflict Management : Administer performance reviews and handle employee relations issues. Coach managers on conflict resolution and best practices in performance management.Workers' Compensation : Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with related policies.Safety and Compliance : Process and file EEO, W2, and OSHA 300 reports. Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Employee Engagement : Conduct employee engagement surveys and implement strategies to enhance workplace culture. Develop initiatives to create a fun and engaging work environment.Communications : Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey HR policies and procedures.Employment Law : Maintain a thorough understanding of local and federal employment laws to ensure compliance.Qualifications and Skills:The ideal candidate will thrive in a small company setting, demonstrate a hands-on approach, and possess a strong commitment to employee engagement and development.Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.SHRM certification preferred.Minimum of 3 years of well-rounded HR Generalist experience.Prior experience operating as a 1 person HR department or on a small HR team.Previous experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, on-boarding/off-boarding, workers compensation, safety, HR compliance, and employment law.Proficiency in advanced Excel. Proficiency in an HRIS and payroll system (ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Ceridian, etc.).Multi-site experience is preferred.Strong understanding of union and non-union environments is a plus.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.If you are a passionate
