We are looking for a Software Engineer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Software Engineer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutionsDesign and develop across the full architecture stackBuild the front-end of applications through appealing visual designDevelop and manage well-functioning databases and applicationsWrite effective APIsTest software to ensure responsiveness and efficiencyTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade softwareCreate security and data protection settingsBuild features and applications with a mobile responsive designWork with data scientists and analysts to improve softwareIdentify issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating proceduresIdentify opportunities for improvement and make design/implementation recommendationsMaintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changesLiaise and collaborate with customers on product development and implementation initiativesLiaise with colleagues to implement technical designsInvestigate and use new technologies where relevantProvide written knowledge transfer materialStay updated with the latest technologies and continuously seek to improve software development processes and tools.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.Skills & Specifications
Proven experience in a Software Engineer or similar roleFamiliarity with common stacksDeep Knowledge of multiple back-end languages specifically VueJS, React, PHP/LaravelFamiliarity with databases technology; specifically Oracle and MariaDBFamiliarity with developing and maintain mobile applicationsA passion for solving problems and providing workable solutionsKnowledge of algorithms and data structuresStrong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomesProficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebaseOutstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaborativelyExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker).Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience5-7 years of work experience in core development technologies5-7 years of work with enterprise database environments, specifically with Oracle or AWS RDS platformsProficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, etc.Benefits
