This is a hybrid role in our Farmington, White Plains, or Morristown offices.
The Position
As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading development and support of Reinsurance Business Intelligence Application used extensively by Reinsurance business teams. The Technical lead will work closely with the rest of the Arch Re product management team and business peers to effectively execute Business Intelligence project initiatives. This person should be able to deliver in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead development and maintenance of Reinsurance BI Application
Collaborate with internal and external technology and business partners to implement product changes
Critically analyze business requirements, architect, and implement BI solutions.
Produce detail design, guide junior developers, review code and test results, as required
Define, develop and maintain effective BI solutions
Provide Production support as required.
Work closely with product manager to develop and execute action plans to address gaps
Recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
Communicate effectively with both the business and technical teams
Desired Skills
Development Experience working with Power BI
SQL or Python development experience
Experience working with Data bricks, Snowflake and ADF
Experience working in Azure environment.
Experience working in insurance or reinsurance industry
Experience with agile methodologies
Experience working with Datawarehouse
Experience working with external data feed to enrich internal data - desired
Experience with data conformance process
Experience with CICD process
Experience building business intelligence solution to support finance, underwriting and pricing.
Experience working in SOX and SOC-2 compliant environment.
Experience monitoring and supporting production environment
Strong understanding of technologies utilized in the industry and the ability to see their impact as well as enhancement management and product lifecycle development
Knowledge of source code version control systems such as Git including branching/merging, resolving code conflicts, and 3-way and baseless merges
Relevant experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver results
Required Education/Experience
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field required
Minimum of 5+ years of BI Development experience.
Hands-on development Experience using PowerBI.
Development experience using DAX
Development experience using Databricks and Snowflake or equivalent.
Experience in a Reinsurance, Insurance or financial organization.
Good Analytical and Communication Skills

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$125,000 - $140,000/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
