is looking for a Tag & Title CoordinatorPosition Summary:DARCARS Automotive Group endeavors to secure a highly engaged, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient Coordinator, Tag & Title to ensure the timely and accurate processing of vehicle titles through a solid understanding of industry best practices and in compliance with relevant laws and company policy.
In this role, you'll:Interact with customers and store, regulatory agency, and bank personnel to resolve title issuesManage customer inquiries and requestsWork with Sales & Finance Managers/Directors on title-related mattersAdministrationPrepare tax and title documentsConfirm negotiability of title documents and report discrepanciesReview incoming titles for accuracy with lien holder, VIN, odometer reading, etc; confirm releases of liensVerify funds have been collected and correct lienholder paid off before processingPrepare legal transfer documents for the MVA; verify and enter any fees assigned to a vehicleBill out dealer trades and prepare Certificate of OriginMaintain an accurate temporary and out of state tag log Monthly U/C title reconciliationConduct physical inventory reconciliation (Month End) Monthly U/C title reconciliationMaintain assigned schedules (MVA and Out of State)Calculate and issue MVA refund checksReassign titles to the appropriate dealershipResponsible for MVA bundle reconciliations and customer refund checks in accordance with the general ledgerMaintain list of all outstanding title workComplianceSubmits all legal transfer work to MVA, both electronically and physical documentsRegister vehicles within the 30-day time frame allotted from MVAVerify acceptance of title in state for which it is filedMaintain inventory of unissued state-owned license platesMaintain current knowledge of MVA regulations regarding vehicle titles for each state in which vehicles are processedUnderstands and follows corresponding state title processing guidelinesFor this role, you'll need:You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in tag and title workYou are computer savvy with a full working knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds and the current ETR systemYou have demonstrated a commitment to process improvement, innovation, and excellenceYou have an interest in and willingness to participate in the company’s volunteer community service projectsYou are persistent and have a sense of humorYou are hungry, humble and smartThis job advertisement in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
