Job Description:Position Description

:

Designs and develops web applications using web technologies including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks -- Angular or React, using web components including RxJs, NgRx, supported by RESTful web services. Utilizes tooling including ESLint, Webpack, Grunt and Gulp and IDEs such as VS Code for adhering to development standards. Develops unit tests using test frameworks -- Mocha, Jasmine, and Jest. Develops end to end tests using Cypress and Puppeteer. Designs and consumes RESTful Application Programs Interfaces (APIs) to deliver rich experiences using Apollo GraphQL and Node JS. Collaborates with architecture, security, and UXD to build architecturally compliant applications while integrating shared reusable libraries. Integrates new modularized applications with new web experiences using Angular micro frontends and module federations. Monitors production health via Splunk Dashboard and Alerts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Guides the development of stable, robust, and resilient apps that best serve our customer base.

Coordinates quarterly upgrades to NX mono repositories.

Uses the right tools and frameworks to guide the development of stable, robust, and resilient apps that best serve our customer base.

Designs and implements web applications.

Provides on-call production support on a rotation basis.

Build features with accessibility compliant features.

Participates in requirement gathering and helps to size precisely estimate epics of work.

Reviews pull requests to ensure quality code is being delivered.

Monitors pipeline and build status.

Education and Experience

:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Front End Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing adaptive, personalized digital applications using front-end and middle-tier technologies (Angular, React or NodeJS) in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Front End Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing adaptive, personalized digital applications using front-end and middle-tier technologies (Angular, React or NodeJS) in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge

:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (‘DE’) developing modular and component based Web applications (front end or middle tier), using Angular, React, or NodeJS; and performing unit testing, using Jest, Jasmine, Karma, or Mocha, and performing end to end testing using Cypress or Puppeteer.

DE analyzing and refining technical requirements using Jira; partnering with enterprise architecture on Web application solutions with technical diagrams, and implementing typed applications in a reusable manner using Visual Studio Code.

DE developing fully adaptive and accessible Web applications, and meeting form factor needs (desktop, tablet, and phone), using Chrome emulator.

DE developing performant Web applications that scale to meet TPS requirements using Chrome profiler, supporting production using Splunk for problem determination, and conducting life cycle application upgrades using Jenkins pipelines.
