Job Summary
Hill, one of the nation’s leading mechanical builders, is offering an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Developer in Chicago within our Corporate Technology group. This is a dynamic position focused on WinForms, WPF, .Net, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL.Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software applications using VB.NET programming language.Engage in debugging and troubleshooting code written in VB.NET.Collaborate with team members to design and develop efficient software solutions.Write clear technical specifications and documentation for development projects.Conduct code reviews and participate in collaborative discussions to enhance code quality.Test and validate software applications to ensure adherence to requirements.Stay updated with the latest developments in .NET and related technologies.Participate actively in team meetings and project discussions.Very near future development on webapps in Blazer or Maui.A very good chance of mobile development in the near future.Other tasks and duties as assigned.Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.Familiarity with .NET programming language, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.Other Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work directly with all levels of employees.Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while adjusting to changing situations.Initiative, great attention to detail, accuracy, and an ability to prioritize and multi-task.Ability to work independently with limited supervision while still being a team player.Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.Company Information
