This role will be responsible for monitoring and improving environmental health and safety protocols, working closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety.
Shift: Full Time, 8:30am - 5:00pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Coordinates and maintains the Environmental, Health & Safety program and related activities to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the EHS department.
- Assess work environments and job-level functions to ensure health and safety programs and initiatives are developed to support a safe workplace and mitigate risk.
- Tracks metrics for assessing EH&S effectiveness in the organization, including OSHA Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and OSHA Lost Worktime Case Rate (LWR)
- Supports the creation and maintenance of an appropriate EH&S culture through cross-functional cooperation, communications, promotions, and training.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing regular reporting of performance metrics for energy consumption, waste generation, and sustainability for applicable locations.
- Support compliance and improvement activities of the ISO 14001, Environmental Management System for applicable locations.
- Assist with EH&S incident investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions, tracking corrective action implementations, and verifying effectiveness.
- Assist in onboarding orientation and onboarding.
- Coordinate and perform training to ensure awareness, adoption and compliance with EHS requirements.
- Contributes to EH&S-related emergency planning. Ensure required records are maintained.
- Coordinate and prepare safety meeting events.
- Assist in planning safety company events.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes, best practices, and industry standards in EHS and proactively implement updates to company programs.
- Attend safety-related meetings virtually and in person when needed.
- BS in Safety or Environmental Management or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Must have working knowledge of OSHA, ASNI, and NFPA requirements.
- Prefer working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standard requirements.
- Must have experience working with local, Federal, and State Authorities for permits and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal OSHA standards and reporting.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment is highly desired.
- Experience supporting both office and field-based operations is preferred.
- Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Applied experience in ergonomics and proactive repetitive stress injury prevention is highly desirable.
- Capable of independent work given broad guidance and able to provide multiple options to resolve issues.
- Able to work effectively and reprioritize as new demands arise.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications is required (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
- Use of computer and telephone equipment and other related office accessories/devices to complete assignments.
- May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
- 10% travel between North America sites, Conferences, and training.
