Your Impact

The Senior Manager-Marketplace Business Development works alongside a team of managers and individual contributors/technical/functional experts that have end-to-end business ownership over the growth and operational integrity of the marketplace channel within Lowe's Online Digital Commerce. This role proactively identifies, vets, and converts a pipeline of new sellers for Lowe's Marketplace. Additionally, this role will support the broader team with associated needs through a business lens leveraging insights and developing processes to improve the seller and customer journey. This leader is responsible for working with cross functional teams and interacting regularly with senior management to deliver team goals and organizational KPIs.

What you will do

•Builds relationships with sellers to expand the product offering on Lowe’s Marketplace

•Identifies trends and opportunities in the market, alongside merchant partners and competitive intelligence teams, to inform strategic decision making

•Builds a roadmap to address seasonality and the associated operational timeline to ensure relevant assortment is live for key events (e.g. Spring, Halloween, Holiday)

•Negotiates terms and agreements with sellers to ensure a favorable outcome for both parties

•Partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Digital Category Optimization, Marketing, Onboarding, and Support teams to align business goals and deliver a best-in-class seller and customer experience

•Monitors competitor activity to identify best practices and differentiate our marketplace offering

•Reports out to senior leadership and various stakeholders regularly on progress and strategic decision making

•Analyzes performance data and continually tracks to KPIs to assess marketplace performance and categories with additional opportunity

•Manages issue triage by working alongside the team of subject matter experts to promote understanding of broader omni-impacts

•Continuously reviews, refines, and helps identify prioritization of the technology roadmap to drive new features and overall seller journey improvements

•Leads a team in support of achieving the company’s mission. Manages performance and fosters an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential.

•This position manages/supervises people

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications or related field and 8 years' experience in marketplace development or relevant experience

•8 years' experience in project management, product management, business analysis, program management or product marketing

•6 years' experience in external sales

•5 years' experience leading others directly or indirectly

•5 years' experience negotiating contracts and legal terms

Preferred Qualifications:

•Master's Degree Business Administration or similar advanced degree

Pay Range: $109,800.00 - $183,000.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
