Apple’s Vision Products Group is seeking a hands-on, seasoned QA leader to drive quality and help ship best-in-class applications and user experiences for visionOS. As a leader in our growing organization, you will oversee and drive software quality for customer-facing apps while working cross-functionally in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Description
The ideal person for this role is a passionate leader and manager who is able to communicate at a high level and dive into technical details with your team and key partners or leaders. Key to our success are the incredible Engineers on our team and in this role, you’ll be leading a team of dedicated and diverse QA Engineers, both functional and automation focused. You’ll be responsible for mentoring, developing and guiding them through complex development cycles for multiple areas. This role will require developing and qualifying customer-focused flows and ensuring system level quality. Your leadership skills will drive communication across multiple organizations, negotiate various asks and cultivate growth within the team.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of management experience as a Software Quality Assurance Manager shipping customer-facing applications.
10+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer.
Strong experience with UI/UX testing and front-end software applications (Mobile/Games/Media/Content/Consumer Electronics).
Established track record of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineers.
Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies while ensuring tight timelines are maintained.
Deep understanding of SQA methodologies, processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
Comfortable working in a continually changing, dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution.
Strong executive presence and ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer experience.
Proactive self-starter with a keen eye for detail, focusing on end-user experiences and going above and beyond to ensure a high-quality release.
Passionate about user-focused design, high-quality applications, and iterative refinement.
Persistent and inquisitive problem solver, committed to driving quality forward.
Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Experience using UNIX shell/command-line tools and executing scripts.

BSCS degree would be a plus, but not required.
Hands-on experience working with AR/VR products and ecosystems.
Experience testing and working with 3D graphics, applications, and workflow tools.
Experience working with tools and automation frameworks.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,400 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
