POSITION OVERVIEW
s a Director, Human Resources and Labor Relations your roles and responsibilities will include:
Partner directly with the sector and site leadership team to deliver strategies to drive engagement, talent acquisition and development, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement in support of the annual operating plan (AOP).Serve as a key member of the ISR HR team in the development and execution of HR strategic priorities. Collaborate with other HR Site Leaders to drive Sector Operations HR initiatives across all sitesEnsure the consistent and unbiased application of various HR processes and programs and their alignment with organizational needs, business priorities and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, as applicable.Use metrics/analytics to drive performance and people decisions in developing HR strategies for engagement, retention and diversity and inclusion.Collaborate with site leaders to create workforce and staffing plans to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish business results.Build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and employees and provide advice and counsel to both on employee-related and organizational matters.Take ownership and exhibit leadership for various Human Resources projects, initiatives and labor relations at the sector level, as well as drive strategic goals down into the HR organization.Manage and develop aligned team members; establish goals, measure performance, identify development needs and opportunities to build a strong, agile HR department.Serve as advisor, mentor, and coach for leaders in support of achieving objectives.Ensures best practices relative to Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organizational Development and Talent ManagementEffectively communicate and promote HR and business strategy to all levels of the organizationStrategize with labor representatives and site leaders to establish the company's bargaining position during negotiations. Prepare negotiation materials for senior leadership/executive review. Manage the negotiation budget and process.QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Director, Human Resources and Labor Relations who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Director, Human Resources and Labor Relations would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Bachelor's Degree with 15 years related experience or Graduate Degree with 13 years of related experience. In lieu of degree minimum 19 years of related experience.5 years in a leadership role in Human Resources and experience in leading labor relations for a bargained populationExperience with interpreting collective bargaining agreements and negotiating with union representativesExperience developing strategy with collective bargaining and reporting up to senior leadershipExperience working in the Aerospace and Defense or manufacturing industry preferredStrong HR Functional knowledge with experience in Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management and Employee RelationsDemonstrated track record of building strong business relationships with business leadersbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong presentation skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsbility to travel as neededbility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship
