Overview
Cypress Creek Solutions is seeking a proactive and results driven individual who is ready to support the growth vision of the Operations and Maintenance organization in a variety of capacities. The Senior Business Development Analyst will play a critical role for the Commercial Operations team by preparing proposals, managing opportunity records in our CRM, and providing sales operations support.
This individual will collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the company to support our growth objectives. An effective candidate will demonstrate comprehensive attention to detail, superior organization, enthusiastic initiative, and an excellent ability to work with others across multiple teams. This position will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Operations and be located in one of the North Carolina offices. Remote employment will be considered based on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proposal Preparation: Coordinate the preparation of comprehensive proposals and quotes for potential clients, working with the Pricing Manager, Business Development and Account Management to gather necessary details and tailor proposals to customer needs.
Bid Intake, Coordination, and Submittal: Support Commercial Operations team in distillation of inbound RFPs, internal outreach to stakeholders, and submittal of proposals to customers through various mediums.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity information within the CRM, including opportunity entry
Contract and Purchase Order Handover: Conduct handover process of executed contracts and received Purchase Orders to various internal stakeholders
Customer Support and Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers during bid process to ensure questions are answered and our proposal is appropriately addressing the RFP
Sales Data Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports to support forecasting, performance tracking, and pipeline visibility, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Process Optimization: Evaluate existing sales processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement improvements. Own Standard Operating Procedures for bid intake, proposal generation, opportunity entry, PO review and contract handovers
Sales Enablement: Develop and maintain proposal templates ensuring that the sales team has the resources they need to succeed.
Qualifications:
5+ years in a sales support, inside sales, or sales operations role.
Previous experience in the power industry a plus
Proficient in CRM software (Salesforce), and comfortable with MS Office Suite. Experience with analytics tools is a plus.
Experience in managing responses to RFP events and creating proposals
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for clear and effective customer communication.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
Experience analyzing data, generating reports, and offering actionable insights to support sales strategy.
Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, providing exceptional service throughout the sales process.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience; MBA or other advanced degree valued but not required
3+ years of experience in the energy industry
Meticulous organization and critical thinking skills.
A strong work ethic and strict attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem solve.
Strong Microsoft Office skillset
Highly driven and hard working with high standards for themselves and others
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience in Salesforce, Tableau a plus

Locations: Our preference is to be based out of Durham or Asheville, NC to be able to go into the office on a hybrid schedule. We will consider remote candidates depending on experience
Compensation: The salary range for the position is $80,000 - 90,000 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
