Job Description

This role is in the Data & Analytics team supporting the Procurement Analytics team. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be required to design and implement the data strategy for Procurement Data initiatives. Procurement data products will be used for various analytical and AI use cases.

Responsibilities

​​Collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment to design and implement data products that enable analytical use cases within the Procurement Analytics domain.

​Partner closely with technical, functional and business partners to build out data products and analytics.

​Design and maintain data pipelines where data from source systems such as SAP, Sievo and Provalido are ingested, transformed and prepared into business aggregated data products.

​Solve challenging data integration problems, utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, sourcing from structured and unstructured data source

​Expertise in the SAP Source to Pay module and Procurement analytics

​Design scalable data processing pipelines and ETL jobs using distributed technologies to handle growing data volumes efficiently.

​Considers tradeoffs between analytical requirements with compute/storage consumption of data and anticipates cost that could be influenced by the cadence of data extraction, transformation, and loading into data products.

​Collaborate with a global team of engineers, product managers, and end users to understand data needs, perform data profiling, data cleansing, data transformation tasks and visualize key data insights that support analytic use cases within the Procurement domain.

​Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders on design options that consider technical feasibility and maximizes business value.

​The position also requires creative problem-solving skills under pressure and a proven track record in project delivery involving business, functional and technical teams.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree or PhD preferred.

A minimum of 7 years experience required. 6 years with a Master's degree, or 2 years with a PhD. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own discipline.

Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.

Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Qualifications: Proficient in SQL, Python, ETL tools ( Informatica), data modeling, and Dataiku.

Expertise in creating Data Products on modern cloud-based data warehouse solutions like AWS Redshift, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.

Proficient in PowerBI, PowerQuery, Power Automate, QlikView, Qliksense

Experienced in SDLC processes and Agile delivery, using Jira to manage product delivery in iterative sprints.

This role follows a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days onsite.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
