Certification Details Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start BLS certification required Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert Job Details RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration Target Ratios: 1:6-7 Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays Patient diagnoses: General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection Special procedures/Unit details: Daily Census 42. During times of increased census, typical ratios may be higher. Unit orientation: 24 hrs (2 shifts) Scrubs: Navy Blue and white Job Requirements Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers. Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills required: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Chemotherapy Administration, Monitoring Chemotherapy, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac Certs required: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert BLS. Schedule Information Shift: NIGHTS RTO: 7 days MAX - NO CHRISTMAS RTO; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48. Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift. Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location. Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
