A Day in the Life:
The consolidations manager leads a small team of accountants responsible for the global accounting consolidation of financial systems in Oracle/FCCS, including the accurate and timely completion of the Company’s financial statements (e.g. balance sheet, income statement and cash flows) and various schedules used in external disclosures, as well as ad-hoc internal requests. The consolidated information is utilized in the Company’s external SEC filings and various non-SEC reports. This position is located at the Hertz corporate headquarters in Estero, FL and reports to the Senior Director, Accounting.
We expect the starting salary to be around $135,000; the actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience
What You’ll Do:
Preparation in FCCS of the consolidated balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows, including review and posting of journal entries in FCCS.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual variance/flux analyses of balance sheet, income statement and cash flows.
Review of various balance sheet accounts and roll forwards, including liaising with other accounting, tax or FP&A personnel as needed.
Assist in all aspects of the annual external audit and quarterly reviews, including the preparation of audit schedules as needed and in collaboration with the external and internal auditors.
Various ad-hoc internal reporting requests, including governmental reports.
Responsible for identifying and implementing best practices to improve efficiencies and/or effectiveness of processes, including ongoing development and improvement of controls ensuring compliance with SOX.
Review tieouts for accuracy and completeness.
Responsible for the coaching, training and development of staff, including annual performance evaluations.
Preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of offering memos as needed.
Special projects as needed
Utilizes FCCS, Xcel including Smartview add-in, Word, PowerPoint.
Collaborates with Accounting, IT, Tax, FP&A, Treasury and Legal.
What We’re Looking For:
5-7 years’ experience in Accounting,
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, required, CPA preferred and Big-4 Accounting experience a plus.
Expert proficiency in global consolidations and FCCS.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
Ability to influence
