The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $77,000 - $93,500.Equity:
This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants.Position OverviewAs the Senior Benefits Specialist, you will support the Benefits Manager in administering employee benefits programs across the organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of benefits processes, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to employees regarding their benefits options and inquiries.Key Responsibilities1. Data Management and AnalysisEnsure the accuracy of benefits data in the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.Support the Benefits Manager in analyzing benefits data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and utilization trends.Assist in the development of reports and dashboards to communicate benefits-related metrics to senior leadership.Coordinate with benefits vendors, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and brokers to ensure effective service delivery.Assist in resolving issues with vendors and escalating complex cases to the Benefits Manager as necessary3. Leave of Absence Administration SupportAssist in the administration of employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, state-mandated leaves, and company-specific leave policies.Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, providing guidance on eligibility and documentation requirements.Maintain accurate leave records and documentation.4.
Benefits Administration SupportAssist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other associated programs.Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.Maintain employee benefits records and ensure data accuracy in Ceridian Dayforce.5. Employee Communication and SupportServe as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries, providing guidance and assistance as needed.Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits options and enrollment procedures.Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and assist with Annual/Open Enrollment sessions for existing employees.6. Compliance and ReportingEnsure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits.Assist in preparing and submitting required filings and reports, such as Form 5500 and Summary Annual Reports (SARs).Monitor changes in benefits regulations and communicate their impact to the Benefits Manager.7. Employee Wellness Programs SupportSupport the development and implementation of employee wellness initiatives and programs.Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of wellness programs and make recommendations for enhancements.In this role, there may be special projects or other job duties assigned by Management.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.2+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role.Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively assist employees with benefits inquiries. Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) preferred.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Proficiency in data entry and management, with experience in using HCM systems like Ceridian Dayforce.Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is a plus.After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.FBM
