This role requires a deep understanding of benefits regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with employees and vendors to ensure the successful management of our benefits offerings.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and other associated programs.Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits, including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.Evaluate and recommend changes to benefits programs to remain competitive in the market and aligned with the organization's goals and budget.Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and brokers.Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery.Conduct regular vendor reviews and performance evaluations to maintain strong partnerships and service levels.Develop and implement communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits options, enrollment procedures, and any changes to benefits programs.Conduct Benefit Orientations for new hires and facilitate Annual / Open Enrollment sessions for existing employees.Provide guidance and assistance to employees on benefits-related inquiries and issues.Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to employee benefits, including reporting, disclosure, and filing obligations.Prepare and submit required filings and reports, such as Form 5500, Summary Annual Reports (SARs), and IRS filings.Keep abreast of changes in benefits regulations and assess their impact on the organization's benefits programs.Utilizing Ceridian Dayforce as the HCM of record, ensure the accuracy of the enrollment elections as it relates to the file feeds to each of the carriers and vendors.Analyze benefits data and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, utilization trends, and cost drivers.Develop reports and dashboards with the support of the HR Analyst to communicate benefits-related metrics to senior leadership and support decision-making.Reconcile broker, carrier and vendor billing on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of the bill along with the timeliness of the payments.Manage the administration of employee leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, state-mandated leaves, and company-specific leave policies.Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, providing guidance on eligibility, documentation requirements, and available resources.Coordinate with HR team members, managers, and employees to ensure compliance with leave policies and regulations.Maintain accurate leave records and documentation, including tracking leave balances and ensuring timely return-to-work processes.Collaborate with external vendors, such as leave administration service providers, to streamline leave processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement employee wellness initiatives and programs.Evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and make recommendations for enhancements or adjustments as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.5+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.Experience with benefits plan design, implementation, and vendor management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex benefits concepts to employees at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is a plus.This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits that will be located in our branch in
