Accounting Manager

Pay Range- $79.71- $97.82
Work location: Hybrid with 3 days on-site, either Monday or Friday.
Position Summary Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and in preparing basic financial reports. The individual in this position will work with the *** Controllership team to perform accounting duties including, but not limited to: (i) reviewing monthly account reconciliations; (ii) ensuring that the existing accounting processes and policies are carried out as intended; (iii) supporting future systems implementation, (iv) driving process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing viable solutions; and (v) leading or participating in other projects as identified by Controllership management. Must have familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and assist in maintaining ***'s internal control environment. Interact with external and internal auditors on a regular basis. This role may include supervising/mentoring other staff and senior accountants. Some key behaviors/ skills for successful individuals include sense of ownership, work ethic, ability to problem solve independently and with others, leadership skills, strong communication skills, ability work under stress/ deadline, decision making. Responsibilities & Qualifications: • Oversee reconciliation of basic and complex general ledger accounts monthly including research and resolution of discrepancies • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and supporting schedules, • Communicate effectively with team members from other functional areas as well as external sources • Support the financial reporting team as needed for preparation of the Form 10-Q, 10-K and other filings as needed, • Comply with Internal controls and best practices, • Initiate process improvements to increase efficiency of financial close and accuracy of financial accounts, • Provide information for auditors • Special projects.
Quals-- Top 3 hard skills: • Change Agent - Ability and readiness to embrace and successfully drive/implement change. • Functional/technical skills- strong fundamentals in accounting and US GAAP. • Command skills - Ability to provide direction to others and follow up to ensure execution.
7 to 10 years' experience. • Supervisory experience required • CPA or MBA, preferred • Experience with ERP ledgers systems is preferred (Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, PeopleSoft) • Public Accounting experience preferred • Must be organized and detail oriented, possess a systems background, flexible, able to work independently, good oral and written communication skills, and have worked in a medium to large corporate environment. • Understands and is able to apply accounting concepts • Comfortable with and able to utilize computer technology Microsoft Excel (advanced), a strong plus • Demonstrated ability to thrive and respond in a fast-paced environment • Analytical thinking skills • Superior working relationship skills - the ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships. • Change leadership - the ability to identify and implement change, complete projects and transformation related programs across multiple organizations/functions, and the ability to lead a team through these changes.
