Overview:
Prepares and coordinates all functions related to managing Agency funding from government or private contracts.
Reports To:
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
Location:
305 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY
Hours:
35 Hours/Week; Exempt
Salary:
$130,000/Year to $150,000/Year
Major Responsibilities:
Prepare annual Agency budget
Develop private fundraising budgets
Develop RFP budgets
Review and oversee the development of annual budgets and billings for all Agency government contracts through supervision of Director/Assistant Director, Contracts and Budgets
Monitor timeline for budgets, modifications and billing to ensure timely budget submission, meeting all deadlines
Monitor all spending and contract funding utilization monthly
Lead quarterly budget meetings with program leadership to ensure best practice and use of agency revenue
Assure accurate budget and spending representation in agency financial software
Ensure agency wide allocations are prepared accurately through analysis and journal entries made in agency financial software
Assist CFO in financial statement analysis
Work closely with the GAP department to monitor outstanding funding issues
Contact government agencies as necessary to ensure Agency meets all guidelines
Collaborate with colleagues across program and administrative departments
Manage Finance Contracts and Budgets department employees through monthly staff meetings and individual supervision to assure effective manpower utilization
Perform other related duties as assigned by CFO
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent plus 2 plus years experience
Experience in budgetary and accounting analysis
Excellent computer/technical skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Understanding of government requirements as related to a social service agency
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
