About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to support the production of stress testing analytics and reporting on the Wells Fargo consolidated balance sheet for CCAR, Resolution, Recovery, and other regulatory initiatives.
Treasury at Wells Fargo is a dynamic team that is responsible for managing Wells Fargo's balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company's businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company's operations. Treasury also provides regulators, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors with key information to support risk management, financial performance management, and strategic planning.
Balance Sheet and Interest Rate Risk (BSIRRM) Group performs quantitative analysis of the balance sheet behavior and has primary responsibility to measure interest rate risk (IRR) and design corresponding risk mitigation strategies. Team members oversee the IRR simulation models, provide management with insight concerning changes that they see in the risk profile, and contribute to the generation of risk management strategies.
In this role, you will:
Produce balance sheet forecasts under a variety of stress scenarios, including for CCAR, Resolution, Recovery, and interim stress testing activities
Monitor and evaluate global market conditions, funding requirements, asset and liability management, liquidity risk management, capital management, financial performance management, capital, and related activities to support comprehensive balance sheet forecasts under a variety of scenarios
Engage across BSIRRM and key stakeholder groups to generate ad hoc analyses supporting strategy decisions and other key regulatory deliverables
Ensure data quality and establish controlled processes
Execute highly-controlled processes including through execution of control infrastructure, model policies and usage, appropriate documentation, and interfacing with second and third line of defense teams to support effective challenge and audit responsibilities
Lead targeted projects, including engaging in the transformation and efficiency objectives to enhance key processes, tools, and hand-offs. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve group goals.
Make recommendations to more experienced group members and management
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with the execution of financial forecasting activities in a variety of scenarios, including stress scenarios
Demonstrated understanding of financial institution balance sheet construction, key risk areas, and financial forecasting
Experience with Excel, Essbase, PowerBI, and third-party systems, including QRM
Experience executing financial analytics processes with high governance expectations, including transformational change in key processes, efficiency efforts, and leading cross-functional deliverable execution
Significant attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of risk management and application at a financial institution, such a model risk management, process and control architecture, operational risk management, financial risk management, etc
