Algas-SDI is in search of a Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer position is a Safety Sensitive position.
Overview and Focus of the PositionAt Algas-SDI we pride ourselves on having the highest quality products in the industry. The Electrical Engineer designs, tests, and supports all aspects of electrical and control systems for ASDI equipment. The position collaborates with sales, customers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure finished goods meet or exceed all applicable codes, standards, and specifications by executing ASDI design standards, procedures, and best practices.
ResponsibilitiesCreates product requirements from collaboration with sales, project engineers and customers.Develop necessary technical documentation for manufacture of equipment.Validate as-built final product meets design requirements, troubleshooting with production if necessary.Continued technical support of electrical systems in operations.Assists Sales with assigned bid activities to ensure that the customer's requirements are fully understood, and that innovative and cost-effective solutions are proposed.Consults with vendors to sources special equipment, material, or devices.Develops or updates product documentation such as BOM, SWGS, DS/QA, manuals, engineer bulletins, ECN, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing or safety critical applications.Working knowledge of the latest edition of NEC codes.Familiar with the following industry standards: UL, CSA, NEMA, IEC, NFPA 70.Extensive experience in all electrical design aspects inclusive of P&IDs, instrument ISA data sheets, instrument installation details, low voltage wiring, physical conduit routing and cable tray design, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, and hazardous area wiring whether intrinsically safe or explosion proof.Extensive experience and knowledge in various DCS & PLC systems.Experience with three phase power including development of single line diagrams, selection & specification of electrical equipment.
