Strategic Sourcing Manager

Briarlake Partners is a strategic sourcing-focused recruiting firm. We are working with a Dallas-based energy company looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager. We are searching for candidates with experience running RFPs/RFQs, a demonstrated ability to analyze data and realize savings through RFP and contract execution, contract negotiation experience, and vendor/supplier management/KPI tracking experience.Responsibilities:Lead analysis, development, and implementation of cost savings initiativesProvide strategic inputs and supply market information to guide business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activitiesCoordinate negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract complianceDevelop, implement, and report to stakeholders meaningful KPIs that accurately demonstrate performanceConduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levelsLead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.Requirements:8+ years of strategic sourcing / supply chain experienceIndustrial category sourcing experience (MRO, capital, services, etc....) is a plus but not requiredEnergy, chemicals, or transportation industries a plus but not requiredBachelors degree in a business, supply chain, or technical disciplineExperience in supporting supplier portfolio developmentCustomer-focused with excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented, professional attitude, reliableProven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organizationAbility to structure and manage complex projectsService-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfactionAbility to think strategically, conceptually, and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendationsData analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer serviceOur client requires five days a week in their Dallas office.
