Senior Accountant - Remote

- Previous or Current Big4/Public Accounting Experience required
- Support the month-end close process for consolidated financials, including corporate and subsidiaries. Tasks include reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, posting and reconciling payroll, month-end accruals, general ledger entries, and overseeing departmental reviews and reports.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Controller and team to publish monthly GAAP financial statements and operational reports within 15 days of month-end, including concise MD&A and variance analysis.
- Prepare work papers and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and select income statement accounts to support financial statement reporting.
- Assist with Payables and Expense Reimbursement processes to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors and employees.
- Support the seamless integration of acquired partner firms into the company's reporting systems and consolidate financial reporting within 30 days of deal closing.
- Participate in purchase accounting processes and handle daily and weekly cash reporting.
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards (ASC 606 and 842) as needed.
- Manage business registrations, licenses, and payroll tax accounts across various states.
- Collaborate with offshore accounting teams to meet weekly and monthly deliverables, providing training and recommending process improvements.
- Contribute to the use and implementation of system-based reporting software to manage financial and operational data within the ERP system, leveraging real-time automated management reports.
- Assist with annual audits, quarterly and annual tax filings, and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of these processes.
- Identify and implement policy and process improvements to simplify audit work and tax preparation throughout the year.
- Reports to: Assistant Controller
- Collaborates with: CFO, Controller, senior management, employees, finance & accounting teams at partner firms, vendors, external auditors, and lenders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Master's degree in Accounting
- CPA License or actively pursuing CPA exam
- Public accounting experience in assurance or advisory practice at a large regional or Big 4 firm
- Experience with ERP systems, payables, T&E, and banking systems
- A skilled accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation experience.
