Description

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant, preferably based in Las Vegas, NV to join their fast-paced, growing business. In addition to the below description, the ideal candidate will be agile, able to work independently and have a sense of urgency. This is a mostly remote position, but may need to occasionally be in the office from time to time.

  • Manage and reconcile accounts receivable? accounts payable and issue invoices, keeping them up to date by deadline.
  • Manage/entries of accounting journal entries tracking all business transactions wherever needed.
  • Review and update financial data in databases keeping them accurate? relevant and fully accessible by request.
  • Participate in reviewing/creating/reconciling necessary procedures including expenses? payroll records and additional accounting needs (such as various schedules).
  • Enter vendor Bills- manage correct coding for financial reporting purposes.
  • Work with QuickBooks Online Bank Feed to ensure all payments are coded correctly.
  • Book various monthly entries- Prepaid Expenses, Depreciation, etc., and reconcile to schedules.
  • Communicate with vendors for their W-9 information.
  • Provide weekly cash balance and deposit information for cash flow forecasting purposes.
  • Attend and prepare updates for weekly meetings with team to discuss issues and keep deadlines on track.
  • Reconcile Bank/Credit Card Accounts monthly.
  • Meet deadlines and update Monthly Close Checklist for accounting tasks.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize the company's accounting systems.
  • Support business processes and accounting policies.
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.
  • Partner with Assistant Controller to optimize financial operations and meet month-end/year-end close deadlines.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings/Audits.
  • Prepare and process annual 1099s (along with W-9 analysis).
Requirements
  • 3+ years Senior Accountant experience
  • Experience with accounting principles and procedures
  • Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certification such as CMA or CPA is a bonus
